The Joy Motel

This was not habitable. We had reservations for two rooms for two nights and arrived yesterday evening. When we got there at 6pm the office was locked and dark with a sign that said call a phone number for help. We call, a man comes a little bit later and and opens up the office to check us in. He couldn't find our reservation but gives us rooms anyway. We drive over to the rooms... There was junk everywhere outside. So we were nervous and thought the place was pretty shady but we're hopeful for decent rooms. When we walked into the room we were just devastated. The bathroom door had a hole punched in it. The floor in front of the bathroom was soaked. With what we have no idea. The bedding was dirty and stained. And one bed had blood on bedding. The bathrooms were gross and looked like demo on it had started! There were water stains all over the ceilings and we were on the first floor!!!! We called the man back and told him we would like him to come back so we could talk to him. He did and we explained we were not comfortable staying there. We showed him the blood and dirt. He refunded our money and we went to find somewhere else. We would have slept in the car before we stayed there. Look on Instagram #joymotel for pictures.
