“America's most haunted hotel!”
Eureka Springs, Arkansas' Mountaintop Spa Resort is the 1886 Crescent Hotel & Spa. Truly an extraordinary escape, Eureka Springs has been named as one of America’s Dozen Distinctive Destinations by the National Trust for Historic Preservation. The Crescent, celebrates its 125th anniversary in 2011 and is a proud member of Historic Hotels of America. Known as America's Most Haunted Hotel we host nightly ghost tours! NEW to our tours is Twilight Theater-Mastermind: Norman Baker Speaks & Late Night Theater-Nor Really A Door: A Supernatural Comedy-Thriller. The 1886 Crescent Hotel and Spa has a rich and fascinating history. Read about some of the earliest accounts from these stories taken from the Eureka Springs Times Echo, one of Eureka Springs' early newspapers which is still in existence today and some fascinating information on Dr. Norman Baker, one time owner of the Crescent Hotel who ran a "Cancer Hospital" in his "Castle in the Air". "Investigated by the Sci-Fi Channel's Ghost Hunters, the hotel has also been featured on NBC's Today Show, A&E's Haunted Road Trips, USA Today and most recently the Bio Network’s My Ghost Story, the hotel continues to gain popularity as the legend continues. In 2011, a new mystery has surfaced with a sighting believed to be world renown dancer Irene Castle seen at the hotel by a young visitor. Castle retired to Eureka Springs and passed at the local hospital." - Ghost Hunters location. (Season 2 Ep 13 Oct 2005)
I have stayed at this hotel a few years back, it is amazing, the people are friendly the breakfast is GREAT, and you can ask the employees about personal ghosts encounters they have had. The room we stayed in was a room with reported activity, it included bumps in the night and other weird occurances. We had also taken a picture from the outside of the hotel on a clear cloudless night, and in the picture were hundreds of orbs (not bugs, verified) whizzing in and out of the windows and the property. I had a great time, and hope to go back someday.
The Crescent Hotel is considered the most haunted hotel in America, and we stayed there for a few spooky days in September. We didn't encounter any ghosts but we had a fabulous time, incredible views and a gorgeous room.
This place is AMAZING! The staff are extremely friendly and go out of there way for you. When we arrived to check in we found out that they had upgraded us to a haunted annex suite 3500 for our anniversary. It had a Jacuzzi in the room and is one of the rooms that is on the ghost tour. I love how when you get here it feels like you have just taken a step back in time. All the history is fascinating. The ghost tour is alot of fun Marshal John Law was a blast as a tour guide and was willing to answer any questions we had. This place and everything about it is so unique and wonderful you have to experience it at least once. I can't wait to plan our next trip back. Make sure to make time to explore the town of Eureka Springs and to take part in the daily social and activities they off at the Crescent. This place was so magical it was hard to leave.
Gorgeous place! Make sure you keep an eye out for the residential black cat that lives at the hotel also!
This charming Ozark hotel was originally used as a school for girls and later as a “fraudulent cancer hospital.” Today this grand Victorian is widely-considered the most haunted hotel in America. Previous tenant, “Doctor” Norman Baker was said to have performed questionable medical techniques on both the living and the dead. There are many restless spirits here, including a sexy Irish stonemason who fell to his death in 1885.
My girlfriend and I stayed here on an overnight getaway and had a great time. Stayed in room corner suite 301 with a great balcony as well. Take advantage of the free shuttle service so you don't have to drive the steep roads at night. Well worth it! Wonderful history and service. Will definitely stay again!
While I didn't stay at the hotel they offer a haunted ghost tour that was chilling. After going to the tour I'm not sure I would have stayed at the hotel but felt a welcoming yet Erie feeling while there.
Went here on an anaversy stayed up all night with our ghost meter & camera & got pictures of ghost cat & meter when off crazily
The Crescent Park Hotel, one of the spookiest hotels in America is also one that you've probably never heard of. While everyone is flocking to spend the night at The Stanley, you can visit the Crescent and avoid the crowds while still running into some restless spirits.
If you're allergic to cats, you might want to look elsewhere. They have a few that roam the hotel, and they're really friendly.
