Confirmed by 1 users | Last reported on April 30, 2022Stayed here in June 2019 with two young children and an infant. Booked our stay on their website, arrived after office was closed and drive straight to the site. While setting up a friendly staff member rode by on a golf cart and gave us a map of the park and briefly covered the rules and provided an access gate code. The park is secured nightly and can only be access by code, which is changed every couple days. We liked this added feeing of security. We stayed in the full hook up sites of which there are only 19. They’re plenty big and wide for 50’ rigs and with a healthy amount between them and lots of shade. Mostly level, all gravel. Water pressure was 90 psi, so be sure to have a regulator. Electric on 30 amp service was dropping pretty low on the voltage. It was not possible to run electric water heater and A/C without dropping below 110v.
The park provides firewood for campers for FREE! The park is the cleanest I have ever seen and everything was in excellent repair. There are bathhouses and port-a-potties a plenty. Trash cans are provided at every site and throughout the park. They’re emptied daily at minimum to keep animals at bay. More than 15 playgrounds and activities for the kids. Three fishing lakes. Lots of hiking trails and picnic shelters. NO ENTRY FEE!
The only negative I can possibly say is that the route following the signs to the park from I-64 is not suitable for larger RV’s. This is not mentioned anywhere on their site and we got our camper hung up on the bridge near the entrance. Taking the longer route around English and approaching the park from the north provides a much better road without any issues.
We are looking forward to returning!

I would agree with the previous review. This is a very clean & quiet park. We had a full hook-up site but there are others with electric only and lots of tent sites. Many playgrounds for the kids, grandkids enjoyed fishing in one of the private lakes and the Little Blue River creek that borders 3 sides of the park. They enjoyed wading in the creek, too. The Little Village was still closed due to the pandemic but it looked like it would be a nice attraction. The rescue animals they have - goats and a donkey - were delightful to watch and feed. Daily garbage pick-up with a garbage can at every site. Lots of shade where we were, except some of the newer sites lacked shade. But the park has planted a gazillion trees that will take care of that in a few years. Trails were nice, especially the one with the spiral staircase and overhead bridge. I hate to make this review too glorious (lol) because we will want to go back and hope they aren't too booked up!! We will definitely go back.

We don't give 5 stars very often !! This park is wonderful and really ticks all our boxes for an ideal campground. It's located well off any major road and very quiet. Large rigs should definitely come in from the north off IN-37/64 and avoid going through the town of English if you can. If you're traveling west on I-64, go past the English/IN-237 exit and take the next exit for IN-37. The setting is absolutely beautiful in a mature forest with a river running through it. You can float and splash in the river, and there are numerous playground set-ups scattered throughout the park, along with picnic areas and a petting zoo. The park roads are all well-maintained gravel, great for bicycling, and the grounds and facilities are very clean. Cell service here is very weak on Verizon and AT&T, and speeds slow way down when the weekenders come in. The sites are generously spaced, surfaced with gravel and include picnic tables and fire rings --- and as mentioned in earlier reviews -- Unlimited Free Fire Wood !! We had a full hook-up site in the trees. The newer sites near the lake do not have much shade cover. Fellow campers are mostly friendly locals, and we loved sitting out in the evenings and watching the fireflies. We would definitely stay here again. www.ourepicfieldtrip.com

Not much to be said that hasn’t. We were here during the week day so very empty. Sites are gravel and mostly level. Some in the trees and newer sites in the sun.
From my understanding, at this time (Aug/2020) there is only one road into Sycamore. West Tunnel Hill Road off of Indiana Highway 64 west of English. Only three miles of 18’ wide blacktop. Makes it interesting to meet a large vehicle, but take it slow. It is well worth the trip.

Gravel site, extra wide & long, with plenty of grassy yard space. Backs up to the lake. Great place.

WOW! Amazing place. Wonderful staff. Free firewood! We live in the area, so we were familiar with the wonky access. You're about 10mi from any store and good gas stations.

Stayed overnight on our trip to Iowa. I really wish we had more time to explore all the park has to offer. There are lots of trails listed, a river for wading and fishing and playgrounds. This started as a community park according to their website and is run as a nonprofit. That explains how we got a fhu enormous pull thru site for $32! The showers were a little hike but very clean and quick hot water. I was unable to book a single night on line as it kept defaulting to 2 nights, so we called and had no trouble. I would definitely return.
