Confirmed by 1 users | Last reported on May 27, 2024Yellowstone was full when we got there so we needed a quick place to spend a night or two. It is very close to the highway so it is noisy during the day but is better at night. You have to pack out your trash. The roads and pads are gravel but not muddy. Overall a great location if the park is full.

Arrived around 1pm on a weekday and found plenty of spots open. Only a few were large enough for large campers. Most were suited to teardrops and a bit larger. And tents. Large boulders and tree in most campsites. Mine felt like an outlaw hideout in a western movie.
If you have a big rig, Acount on foot as I watched one guy make a 100-point turn to get out of a culdesac. Didn’t think he was going to make it out.
Would easily recommend.

It was a nice campground, good sized spots. It was not to far off the Highway so there was lots of road noise, but other than that was pretty good.

We happened upon this site after not having room at another dispersed campground a few miles away. We pulled in with our 26’ camper but we’re not even sure we could turn it around. I walked down to the left side to scout and found one spot left that would accommodate us. We had to ask some other campers to move their chairs so we could use the culdesac to turn around. They were totally understanding. Then backing in involved holding branches out of the way and narrowly missing large boulders. Like a glove!! We met some other really nice people across the way and ended up staying 2 nights. A lot of highway noise, but we were very happy overall.

We had a 17’ Escape. On Sunday of Memorial weekend at 6pm we found this campground with maybe 10 spots available and half of them could accommodate our trailer. Had to watch for boulders but that added to the uniqueness.

Car camped one night before heading to work in the park. First come first serve, vault toilets, food storage containers, and fire pits available. Very quiet and beautiful view
