“First-class, century-old retreat”
Nestled among the pines on the southern shore of Burntside Lake, Burntside Lodge is a summer resort which has been welcoming guests since 1913. Ray and Nancy LaMontagne purchased Burntside Lodge in 1941 and today, over 70 years later it is still operated by Ray and Nancy’s son Lou, his wife Lonnie and their adult children Nicole and Jacques. Today the LaMontagne family continues to welcome guests to this northwoods retreat. Fine dining, comfortable but casually elegant, original log cabins, and a pristine island-dotted lake combine to give you a treasured vacation experience at one of the few surviving authentic log resorts on the edge of the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness.
