Elkins Depot Welcome Center

Welcome to Elkins, a lively, arts-oriented community in West Virginia’s Potomac Highlands. Within the town are three National Register Historic Districts, several National Historic Landmarks, and a variety of unique shops and restaurants. Elkins has been identified as one of the 100 best small art towns in the United States and it is a West Virginia Certified Arts Community. The internationally known, Augusta Heritage Center, makes its home in Elkins on the campus of Davis and Elkins College. The “gateway” to the Monongahela National Forest, Elkins is a hub of outdoor recreation and has easy access to state parks, forests and natural landmarks. Located in the heart of downtown Elkins the Welcome Center carries informational brochures on the music and arts, food and lodging options, train excursions, and West Virginia states parks.
