“At Edison's Menlo Park”
Underconstruction until 2014. The mission of the Edison Memorial Tower Corporation, a 501 non-profit organization, is to preserve, promote, and manage the Edison Memorial Tower and Museum in the Menlo Park section of Edison Township, New Jersey. The Corporation strives to honor the memory of Thomas A. Edison and educate the public about Edison, his significant accomplishments at this site, and his impact on modern research and development.EMTC is currently raising funds and finalizing its plans to restore the Tower, construct a new museum, improve the outdoor interpretation of the site of Thomas Edison's Invention Factory, and improve the Edison State Park.
Construction is done! The monument is worth the few minutes drive off the highway. $5 to have guided tour through Thomas Edison's life. We had a very good time.
Free to just view, fee for museum (closed Sundays)
Still under construction and covered in scaffolding. There is a small information center only open Tuesday through Saturday. Close to the highway.
Currently is under construction. Covered in scaffolding. We spoke with someone at the museum and it will not be finished until 2014.
Was still under construction in March 2015. Fenced up. No info booth on a Friday. It was a cute fun 5 min stop right off the highway.
Edison became famous for patenting inventions that were not his own. My money is better spent donating to Tesla Science Center at Wardenclyffe where real genius was at work
