This is really a nice campground. Check-in very efficient. The store is small but nicely done and has a great ice cream bar.

The grounds are meticulous and the staff very responsive. Great wi-fi and mobile phone service. Quiet hours are definitely quiet. Only negative was the site was narrow. However, landscape does provide privacy.

Upon arrival we took note of a very large and steep hill on which we were to park and register for the weekend. We are only a few years into the camping experience and this hill was pretty scary to stop on. The location is very nice, lots of trees and shade, however all the roads within are mainly gravel and very hilly/uneven making it somewhat uncomfortable to navigate. When we went to plug in our electricity we noticed the 30 AMP outlet had a portion of a plug stuck inside of it-So safe! We avoided using that one, left the breaker off and used the 50AMP next to it with our adaptor. We were tired on night 1 so we just left and went out dinner. The next morning we joined the staff for activities at 10AM (Ceramic painting) and even our son had a great time! Though he later broke the shark I painted for him-Very sad! The next activity which was a firetruck ride around the campground was not until 1PM so we went back to the camper to give the little guy a nap. Since this was our first real time hanging out at the site we discovered one major issue- They assigned us a site right next to some dumpsters. As the day warmed up to about 86 degrees, this dumpster became a serious issue for us. We wound up staying inside pretty much the entire time we camped which defeats the main reason to Camp to begin with. People were seen walking their dogs right next to the dumpster area as well, which you can see in our pictures, is literally FEET from our site. The fire pits were unusually small (16/19 rim) so your probably won't be cooking a big meal over them unless you have a tripod. The bathrooms looked very nice from the outside- But the inside was a far different story-As per my husband the Men’s room was a solid 2 out of 5 for cleanliness. Water and toilet paper littered the floor everywhere. As for the ladies room I would say it followed suit. I used the bathroom early Sunday morning at about 9am and it was already littered with toilet paper, had a clogged toilet and just smelled of neglect. It looks like if had it been monitored closer, it would be a pretty nice bathroom. Our water pressure into the camper was awful, I wound up filling my potable water and using my on-board water pump to do the dishes before we left.
In light of all of those drawbacks there were some real positives- The pool was very clean and we had a great time watching skydivers from the nearby airfield jump out of planes above us! That was a real treat. We also did really enjoy their activities. Management was friendly and very approachable every time we had a question or ran into the camp store. I will also say that this campground had the absolute best WIFI of any campground we have been to. Huge bonus!

We stayed for 3 days in Aug 2020 - during the COVID19 Pandemic. We wanted to do a road trip since our planned family vacation had to be cancelled. We had looked for a place that we could stay in a private cabin so that we can sanitize it first before bringing in our things. We stumbled upon Mountain Vista while searching online and we could not be happier with our choice. When we arrived the staff appeared to be following all of the appropriate protocols (masks, distancing, partitions in the store/office etc.), and were very helpful upon our arrival. The store in the front of the campground has all the general camping needs such as charcoal, wood for the fire pit, utensils, all the basics in case you forgot something at home, and even some groceries. For those with campers they carry some basic parts such as waste valves, hoses, silicon sealant, etc. We only stayed for 3 days, but had such a great time we decided to book another 4 days later this month. We stayed in a nice 30ft deluxe cabin, which had a cook top range, sink, fridge, table with benches, bunk bed with queen on the bottom and twin on the top in a back bedroom, and a queen size futon in the main room. The bathroom was sufficient for the need as well. The cabin appeared very clean (although it was also a bit newer than some of the other cabins from what I was able to tell). Due to COVID, there were many activities that the staff had planned but they had to cancel, however they did have the pool, tennis courts, basketball, shuffleboard, giant floor checkers, giant connect-four, giant jenga, outdoor fitness area, volleyball, disc golf, and fishing pond open for use as long as social distancing between families and mask wearing were followed. It appeared that most people were complying. The pool was clean, however due to COVID no chairs were provided, but that was not a problem as we just brought our own folding camping chairs to the pool with us. The site did host one event which was wine-tasting, where they brought in a local winery to provide samples for tasting. Social distancing rules were followed and it worked out great. Outside of the camp ground there was plenty to do as it is close to Bushkill Falls, Paws & Claws Zoo, and other places that were open and following proper guidelines as well. We spent our evenings cooking on the charcoal grill (provided at each cabin) and sitting around our fire pit (also provided at each cabin). We look forward to returning to the campground again in a couple of weeks!

Most of the sites are nice, you can hear the steady traffic from most of the sites but the in the woods views are great.

Great campground. Nice size sites, not overly challenging to back into. Very private feeling and very quiet. Splash pad was fun for the littles. Everything was clean. Will visit again.
