Visited in August 2023, parking near the lake is sparce but they do have more the farther away from it you get. We did arrive early for our boat tour (highly recommend), but the area was not overcrowded and didn’t really get that way throughout the day. Do reserve your boat tickets early if possible – they will sell tickets same day, if available, but I wouldn’t chance it. Picnic areas were clean, and we got to see some big horned sheep up close as they walked by us. Definitely a must see if going to the park.
Wonderful place but unfortunately swamped with reservations in July. We still really enjoyed our time there.
