We were in an rv going to an Irish Music Festival close by, and stayed here for a few nights. We were only one of two rv's that had out of state plates. I felt sorry for the other camper, the dump station exit route ran through the front of their site! The sites are loosely defined, ours was between two that overlapped other sites, so we ended up with one and a half sites. It backed up to a creek, which was enjoyed by all, including our dog! We met and chatted with our neighbors and others, and most were very nice folks. This is definitely a working class group of campers, many long term, and many bikers. We felt comfortable and safe there, but having stopped drinking alcohol years ago, we were out of place in some of the social settings. A main road goes through the middle of the resort, so you get a combination of traffic, from locals gunning their trucks, to bikers cruising the grounds, and plenty of golf carts sprinkled in. To manage access to the amenities, you are given a wristband at check in that you are supposed to wear for the length of your stay. We saw many people without wristbands. The grounds need a makeover, with peeling paint and rotten wood on many of their truly interesting points to see, such as their closed haunted house. We went to listen to one of two bands from the festival playing at the resort, one required a $10 cover, the other free at the pool area. We went to the pool band, but they started late, and with no seating to just sit and listen, we left. The location is good, not far from groceries and fast food, the town of Catskill, and mountain views. The bathhouses were clean, but had lukewarm hot water. We had T Mobile 5G service. The trash area is a mess, and just was an indication of the level of neglect we saw. We probably would look elsewhere if camping in the area again, but if necessary, would stay there again and feel comfortable with that. And the cost was very good, $135 for 3 nights with water and electric.
