The normal RV park was full and I understand it’s much nicer. We were in the meadows which is a trailer park with places for RV’s stuck between. We just needed a place to reset between boondocking adventures. They had a laundry room which was nice. You need quarters. Checking in was a pain because you have to go to the main restaurant /store/ ice cream shop/ lodge. It’s crowded around it so no room for rigs. We parked in the meadows road and walked to the check in. We had no data on our cellphones. You have to go to the top of the mountain to get there.

This RV park is a wonderful place to spend some time. Many of the sites have ample space between each site and offer great views of the surrounding countryside. Most of the spaces are nestled in trees that offer shade, atmosphere but likely won’t severely block dish signal. Some of the spaces are a small challenge to back into so if you are not comfortable with that activity, be clear that you need easy access when reserving. We have full hookups and Wi-Fi is very strong for being in such a remote setting. The staff was pleasant to deal with upon check-in and when interacting throughout the park. There is a great deal of green space for activities and it offers a great atmosphere amongst the pine and aspen trees. Dogs must be on leash as is in most parks but there is national forest property next to the park and dogs can run off leash until they drop if so desired. Lots of trails and other outdoor activities here too. We highly recommend this park for your next getaway.

We called the park and asked if we could arrive around 2:00 PM as check in is 4:00 PM? There was no problem coming in early. Check in was quick and we proceeded to premium site 57, which was a back-in with FHUs that were smartly placed in the middle of the gravel pad. We paid extra for a premium site because they are supposed to have more yard space with private fire pits. The rig to our utilities side was very close and while our area out the door side was large, there was a formal path leading to the open pasture (watch out for cow and dog poop). The pasture area has formal trails that lead through the national forest to the Firefighters Memorial one direction and a Flaming Gorge overlook the other direction. Sites 18 -21 actually had the biggest yard area and were the best sites in our opinion. Water pressure was good, no OTA channels so we put out our satellite with no issues, above average WiFi and 3 bars on Verizon. Our site was level but 56 next to us had to use levelers on their utilities side to level. One of the camp hosts was temporarily in 56, and he could not have been nicer offering assistance and tips on the area. They had 2 washers and dryers and cost $2.50 to wash and $1.75 to dry. There was lots to do and see in the area. Red Canyon Visitors Center along with the Red Canyon view trail and Sheep Creek Geological Loop are must sees. After you finish the geological loop, you’re close to Manila, UT and they have the Flaming Gorge Market and Mercantile, which is also a True Value hardware with fishing and souvenir items. Their market area has a good variety of items to include condiments, charcoal briquettes, bread/buns, hotdogs, lunch meat and salad etc. at decent prices. We bought a small mayonnaise and vinegar in Dutch John that cost $9 so like other reviews said, best to bring these type of items with you. Pine Forest management was laid back compared to other private CGs we have stayed. We enjoyed our week stay and would definitely come back.

We stayed here in our 42ft 5th wheel and loved it. We had the forest directly behind our RV and got to watch the cows graze. There was a bathhouse and laundry facilities on site as well as a small playground.

We had a pull through space next to the overflow parking for boats and ATVs. The grass was lush, hookups close together for convenience, and the pad was level and made of crushed gravel. There was a nice fire ring and a picnic table at each site. The laundry area was small (2 washers, 2 dryers) but open 24 hours and clean as could be. There was a bath house which we didn’t use. We were surrounded by trees and a meadow. We were greeted pleasantly and allowed to check in early with no issues. I’d definitely stay here again.

I travelled here with a 35’ 5th wheel, long bed pickup and parked in the site #P27, a FHU, BI site for $73/night. The road and sites were gravel. Be very aware and take it very slow across the “dips” in the road into the park and around it. The dip was more like a deep rut across the road and gave the rig quite a shock. Not sure why they don’t fill them in. It is a lovely park. An oasis of green in a largely dusty brown landscape. There are mature trees all around the edge and a large grassy expanse in the middle where families would play games and there was a nice playground for the kids. It was lovely to sit out at night under the trees. The sites near mine were relatively narrow and were at a hard angle to get into easily. The easier sites to get into would be the PT sites and the odd #’s between 1-17. I also needed 2 boards under one side to get level due to the slope. The overflow area was a bit unsightly – looked like a used car lot with rigs, trucks, trailers all jumbled together. The bathhouse was very clean with 3 showers. I had 3 bars LTE Verizon, only moderate wifi connectivity and didn’t check OTA channels. The park is very convenient to the Flaming Gorge boat ramps. I highly recommend doing a boat trip or float trip. Gorgeous scenery in the gorge. I also recommend taking a scenic drive around the Sheephead Creek area. I enjoyed my stay there.

The road into the RV park is severely potholed (dirt) and with a dip that caused me to bottom out. I was here for an Airstream rally and chose a dry camping spot of which there are four. They are lovely and sit well away from the rest of the regular hookup spots however they are about as far away from the restrooms as you can possibly get.
Laundry has two washers and two dryers, one washer was not in service.
Super friendly staff. No dump site, if you are dry camping and want to dump they let you pull into one of the hookup spots providing one is available.
The hookup spots are pretty standard RV... Close together but at least half of them have beautiful grass.
Showers and bathrooms for spotless.
Very peaceful.

Nice, friendly and very helpful staff. They were amazing! Our site was not a good one for our 41 ft 5th wheel. I called twice to make sure it would work, but they made it right for us and it all worked out great.

We spent 14 days at Pine Forest. The whole RV park is a lawn that they work hard to maintain. Having an expansive lawn is out of the ordinary in this mountainous area. One side of the campground has a herd of open range cattle that drift in and out. They are well behaved and the other side of the park has fenced horses. The area is beautiful with numerous wild animals, scenic vistas and scenic drives. It is 15 minutes or so from flaming gorge and 20 minutes from Little Hole fishing access on the Green River. Pine Forest was relaxing and quiet. The temperatures were much cooler as it is near 7000’ of elevation.
