Confirmed by 6 users | Last reported on August 12, 2023We were looking for an alternative to staying in Walmart parking lot in Missoula. This early in the season it would have been a cold morning boondocking at Walmart. The wife called the listed phone number and Vern ran down and reserved our spot for us. Very quaint city park. 3 electric sites and 7 non hookup. Just before we headed out on Saturday morning there was a girls baseball game at the ballpark next door. At least a mile away from I-90 but an active rail line close.

Nice little community park right by the river Town of 300. There is no dump station in the park or anywhere in the town the water has signs that say it's not potable. It has three spaces that have electric ours has 50 amp which is great to go see the ghost town so the dogs don't get hot. The TRAIN'S ARE EVERY HOUR ALL NIGHT!!

Nice little city campground right off of i-90. $10 a night for dry camping and $25 a night for full hookups. Well maintained pit toilets, picnic tables and a playground. Right next to the river and very little traffic noise. While we were here the water and dump station were not available, but otherwise it was a nice place to spend the night. The sites near the road were also perfectly level, which is always nice after a long day of driving!

The campground is easy to get to, “camp spots” are level. It really is just a park that allows RVs though, it’s also the town playground/picnic area.
What was disappointing is that it’s listed on here as having water and rv dumps, so we didn’t fill up with water before we got on the road. There was no water and rv dump is closed down. So basically paid 10 bucks for nothing. Will be leaving today to get water in another town, as none is available in town.

We had originally planned on staying in Missoula after plans for Glacier NP were snowed out. After finding nothing there we rolled on to Drummond. The campground is nothing fancy, but is way better than a Walmart and great the town offers it for travelers. The only noise was a few trains, but if you are traveling along I-90 you are probably used to that! It wasn’t one of the worst places for them at all. It is quick and easy to get to from the interstate, which is not an issue with noise.
Most of the campground is dry camping for $10, there are a few spots with 30/50 amp hook ups for $25. The o my issue we had was we came in after dark and the layout of the campground is not well marked. We thought we were in a campsite only to figure out the next morning we had set up in the road. Had the place to ourselves, so no no deal. Would definitely stay here again though!

Spent one night here as I passed through the area. Much better than a rest area or truck stop. Fairly easy to get to, just follow the signs from town. The sites are not always clearly marked. Gravel and level. Right by the river, with river access for fishing or kayak/canoe. Water spigots that I checked didn't work, but I saw one person getting water from a spigot, so some of them must be on. Vault toilet a little icky but serves its purpose. It's about 1/4 mile from railroad track and trains come through, so I used earplugs. Other than that, it was quiet.

I love that small towns across the west and midwest have town park campgrounds. In November, we were the only occupants for the night. Very peaceful, we were lulled to sleep by the cows and occasional train. Limited services since we arrived late but there are electric hookups if you're able to contact the city. Convenient to get on and off I90 but away from the highway noise.

Stayed one night while passing through. Gas station in town price seemed reasonable. No one else here. We parked in a larger gravel area and not one of the sites because there was still snow on the ground and it was pretty muddy. Would stay again.

So nice of the city to maintain a nice park and small campground. We were able to dry camp and enjoy the river. Nice places to walk our dogs.
My only caution is do not use Google Maps or Mapquest to find your route to this park.
You must come from downtown on Main St to get any RV or Trailer into the turnoff.
We are sure we were high entertainment as we first went one way and then turned around downtown to come back! An RV parade.
