This was a beautiful location overlooking the reservoir. Sites had full hookups, with rates of $30/day, $150/week and $300/month. An interagency pass gave 50% off the daily rate only, so a week cost me $105. There was a boat dock, a boat ramp, a beach, and a $10 dump station for those camping in the non-hookup campgrounds.

The campground was divided into two sections, each with upper and lower tiers. The first section overlooked the boat parking, but the far section looked out straight over the reservoir. The lower tier could take RVs up to about 22 ft. (You could get a 25 ft RV in with the back end overhanging the ditch behind, but then you could not deploy the rear stabilizers.) There were 30-35 ft RVs in the upper tier, but I doubt you could fit a 40 ft. The lower tier was fairly level, but the upper tier sloped severely down hill. The sites were very wide, with plenty of room for an RV, a truck/toad and space to sit. The surface was small gravel.

The campground was half full during the week, but filled up with people with boats at the weekend. It was very quiet except for the boats. I could barely hear the traffic on I-15 across the water, and the train seemed to run only twice each day.

The campground was in a Verizon dead spot, with 1 bar, -118 dB, <1 Mbps down and ~0 up. However, there were 4 bars above the campground at the entrance from the highway, and 3 bars at the Camp Fortunate Overlook (the ramada on the hill to the south, accessed from the campground entrance road).

If you're going to Lemhi Pass, ignore the warnings about the road that you find online. They must be long out of date. The 12-mile dirt road was perfectly graded, with not a single rock, hole or washboard, and no steep climbs. It would be easy for any vehicle. If you're going to Bannack State Park, take Bannack Bench Road from Grant, just down the road from the campground, instead of I-15. It's a perfectly-graded dirt road through a beautiful valley.

$30 a day $150 a week 14 day limit. 1/2 price with access pass (on daily).
10 down and 5 up on Tmobile 4g hotspot.

Sites are short on the lower "loop". Class B most C's and 25 ish foot trailers would fit fine. Sites are very wide so no problem parking a towed next to the RV.

Upper area fit my 30 foot trailer without an issue. The rear jacks were on the hill side so I could get close enough for my 25 foot power cord to reach the box. Very level side to side. Front to back was a bit of a slope, but nothing crazy.

Sewer in some of the upper sites is uphill, look before you park if you intend to stay a while. Lower sites looked level. There is a dump on site.

VERY quite and low use apparently. 40+ sites. It was me and the camp host for my stay. Lake has a few jet skis and wake boarding boats going, but you cant hear them from the campground.

25 mins to Dillon. Safeway grocery store, McDonald's, Ace hardware and several auto parts stores. Cool bars, and several good restaurants. Neat town. Hour + to Butte for a walmart.
