“St. Curvy english gothic style church”

This place is on private property. Listing for informational purposes only. Please do not visit without express permission from the land owner.

Woodward Avenue Presbyterian Church -  The Woodward Presbyterian was built in 1911 by the growing Presbyterian congregants of the Woodward area. It is styled in Gothic Revival with a limestone trim and a surface of rough rock. The Church has a large carved stone entrance facade.

Woodward Avenue Presbyterian began to deteriorate in the 1980's, but it wasn't until 2005 that the church was abandoned. In 2009 it was bought by another church organization with hopes of restoring it. So far the costs for restoration have been very pricey and renovation has been put on hold.

It got the nickname St. Curvy because of the stunning large curving balcony.
