Picnic table, fire ring, exceptionally clean vault toilets, water taps, level sites, and all at $3.50 per day with senior discount. No highway noise, no light pollution. Life is good.
No cell service, whatsoever.

We stayed here in an Aliner folding trailer for 2 nights in early September while bicycling the Hiawatha. It's not far from the freeway, but quiet and uncrowded. The outhouses are the basic USFS variety and were clean. The sites are level and widely-spaced. There is a nice nature trail from the campground. Because our trailer is small we didn't explore the left-hand loop, which, I believe, has some spots for larger RV's. I'm sure we'll stay there again.

We’ve been wanting to camp at this place for a few year and finally found the right timing.
The sites were clean, even swept and clean fireplace grates! Pit toilets were clean and welcoming (as far as a pit toilet can be.). Lots of room for both RV and tent at the same site.
The campground had dirt pads but paved roads throughout. Fun, signed nature trail and Twelve Mile creek a short hike or bike ride from the campground itself.
The campground is only 2 miles on paved road on I-90 exit to the turn off, onto a dirt road (where the campground sign is placed.). The dirt road made us question whether we wanted to “rough it” and If we had taken a wrong turn. 1/10th of a mile on dirt road and then you’re on a nicely paved road that only goes to the campground. Loop A seems to have taller trees than Loop B, but it was pretty too. I would deem this a nice little secret that the locals know about and I-90 travelers who don’t mind pulling into a spot without hookups would enjoy! No freeway noise, beautiful wooded area at a whopping $7 a night. Golden Passport will have to cough up $3.50. (I’ve got a few more years before I get to pay that rate....and I can’t wait!)

the hosts r great people and do a great job over seeing the operations. they have the local history of growing up there and working in the forest industry. you will love it like the other reviews said. the trails are really good and easy to follow. we only stayed one night due to the fires in washington state and california. we will b back there next year. pit toilets but clean and fresh mountain water. j

I hesitate to write because I don't want too many people to destroy the calm.
As the host said, there's no attraction there. No boating or fishing l, no great views and very few people. The nature trail is a 15min. diversion. But well maintained, spaced sites 2 miles off I90!
Deer, birds, squirrels (watch you step) and a moose!

We found this when we needed a place on the way into Montana. It is tucked in the woods with nice sites and clean bathrooms. Great place!

What a gem! Only 2 mikes from I90 but it felt like a world away. Sites are nestled in tall trees. If there was a rating for smell it would be 5 stars! Campground was so clean and the camp hosts were so friendly. Plenty of space for campers. The night was wonderfully quiet and cool. No ATT service.

After a long travel day on 9/25/21, we got off I-90 and headed for this campground. It was closed for the season. We were able to boondock nearby but were disappointed. We thought that the Montana NFS campgrounds closed on Oct 1, but that obviously wasn't the case...others we tried in late September were also closed. We will do our homework better next time.
