“a great place for a picnic and other activities”
Nine Eagles is a great place for a picnic. Several shaded picnic areas with tables and fire grills are located throughout the 1,100 acre park. Two open shelters are available and may be reserved online.

We stayed one night on site 26 which we thought was near a small fishing pond. The pond, which is about 100 feet away, is actually a sewage stabilization lagoon. Most of the sites are very close together, on a hill, and extremely muddy due to recent rains, very small gravel and not enough of it. The site was electric only and no water hook up. We could not get a decent signal from either AT&T or Verizon. This was the most disappointing State Park we have ever stayed in and we will probably not return. There is nothing close by. Get everything you need, including water, before you set up.
