Confirmed by 2 users | Last reported on November 12, 2022Very expensive, asked for the good Sam rate and was told they have one rate for everyone. We called while on the road to see if they had room, no one answered, we left message for a return call which we never received. When we got to campground and we were done checking in the camp phone rang - no one bothered to answer it. Extra charge for using the pool.
We were just travelling through looking for a place to stay for the night. We found this place at 8 pm. They had an after hours checking drop box, but they didn't give us other information like the bathroom code. The phone number provided just went to voicemail and it was for reservations only.
The next morning a lady came to our site asking if we needed the code for the restroom. We said we got it from someone else. She got upset with us that we did that. I said it would be nice if there was a means to get that information outside of office hours. She snapped back saying most people call during office hours. I said that we didn't even know this place existed until after there office was closed. We're just passing through. She said once again that most people call during office hours. I reiterated that we just found out about this place after their office was closed. For the prices they are charging it would be nice to have access to all amenities upon arrival even if it is outside of office hours. She just turned her back and stomped away. Very poor customer experience.
The campground was decent. Could have more stars on this review but not being able to get at what you're paying for and the rude interaction made this a place that we'll skip in the future.
Check lady was very helpful. As a newbie camper trying to get out of the winter storm, she explained everything we needed to know. Clean, warm bathrooms. Easy to get to. I would stay again.

Had a long FHU gravel pull thru but it was very muddy due to all the recent rains. Had a small cement patio with picnic table. The patio was in poor shape. We unhooked our tow and backed up so we could open the door at the patio instead of in the muddy grassy area. Then parked the Jeep in front. Laundry room was clean with 5 washers and 3 dryers. $2.00 for a washer and then dryers were free. Didn’t use restrooms. Had good Verizon service so didn’t use internet. Had to create an account for it. Swimming pool wasn’t open. There was a playground. Water spigot was shared so for every other site the water was on the wrong side. At least in our section. A lot of seasonal. They had backin sites around the outer edge of the park.
Price reflects a 10% Good Sams discount.

Somewhat run down. Easy access, pool closed, several hydrants broken so two units need to share.

My first impression of this place is not the best. The place was easy to find but when you first pull in you can tell the gravel roads are not well maintained. Some spots were really bad and when you’re driving a motor home with a car towed behind, it felt like I was going over multiple speed bumps all at once. As I drove to my spot I noticed that there are also a lot of people who seem to permanently live here as well. My spot is ok but it is not level at all either. Even with my leveling blocks, I’m still pitching forward. I’m not sure I would stay here again although my neighbors seem friendly (they are just passing through too and aren’t too thrilled with the place either).

We stopped here on our way back to the west coast - friendly folk. Lots of resident RV’s but they’re very nice. Pool is in good repair and very nice. For being so close to the interstate I was surprised at how quite it is in the park. - it needs a little tender loving care and attention but for full hookups its a great deal.

We stayed here for a night after visiting Iowa 80 Truck Stop. Nice place for a quick stop, gravel site, right off the freeway. A few big rigs were staying when I was here. Very quiet. Ladies at the office were friendly.

Spots are small, but I was only staying one night and some were bigger so that may impact placement. Pet friendly and friendly staff. Open year around with water, electricity, and sewer. I would stay here again if passing though!

We made a reservation and let them know we would be arriving late at night. The clerk was very helpful and said she would leave our map on the bulletin board. She called us about 4 hours later to confirm that we were still planning to arrive after 9 pm.
The park office is well lit at the entrance and our map was there as promised. It's a well-lit gravel road one way thru the park. Bathrooms are locked by a code and were clean and included hand soap, toilet paper, and hand dryers.
The park is about a 2 minute drive from I-80, so it is very convenient. Noise level was pretty quiet despite being close to the highway.
Overhead lights in the park were great for navigation at night, but you will want to have your shades up to block it out.
