Confirmed by 1 users | Last reported on June 23, 2023No hook ups, freshwater available in many locations dumpsite available. Showers are private and seem to be well cared for. Laundry available. They have live music some nights throughout the summer. however extremely quiet when I was here! The tent sites are awesome! Many tucked back off the driveway, very private! But I’m in a truck camper, my site is nice as well!
Six flags is literally across the street, driveway to driveway.
I would g ladly stay here again.

We rarely stay at private parks like this, but it’s immediately across from Darien Center Six Flags and we were going to a show.
It’s not that we’ve never stayed at private parks, mind you, but for sure we can’t recall one that we’ve been to that was a good as this.
We had a no hookups RV site, which was basically just a large grassy area surrounded by trees except where the road led into our site. A picnic table and fire pit rounded our spot, #29, out. I’d take the next spot south, in our van, if we ever happened through here again, but all of those on the southern side — if you don’t need solar — we’re super prime, easily national forest-worthy.
If you stay here with hopes of visiting the amusement park or seeing a concert, we caught the Lumineers, note that you have to get a taxi…you can’t walk and a small (seriously) army of armed cops (not amusement park cops, the real deal) make sure of that. There’s a taxi guy in the park, it was $15 one way. A different taxi brought us back and wanted $30. It’s literally a 2 minute drive.
But even without the show or the Six Flags, they did well here. They could have easily shoved 200 or more sites into this place. If there are 50 I’d be surprised. Hopefully the pictures here show how nice this place is, and I believe some sites have some variety of hookups.
Cabins and lean tos available as well, and free kayaks and canoes to float around the little pond. They sell several items in the store, but not hot dog buns. I wanted a hot dog bun. :D
