We only stayed here overnight on a cross country trip along I-40 but could see that this is a very nice campground for a longer stay. Many of the sites are waterfront and are typically large for a state park. Our site was a full hookup 50amp site for $32 a night.

As an overnight spot while traveling on I-40 this campground is a real gem offering full hookups, quick access off the highway (about a five to ten minute drive) and far enough to avoid any highway noise.

Verizon internet was incredible (75 MB’s down and 45 up!!!)

We were driving home and needed a place to stay the night. This was a terrific choice. The reservation process was super easy. The park was gorgeous! We got a space near the water. The lake was beautiful. We even made it in time to watch the sunset. Spaces were far enough from each other and pretty level. The park was clean and quiet. There were plenty of places to walk and stretch your legs. The bathrooms were some of the best yet with each bathroom containing its own shower, toilet and sink. If you're looking for an oasis on your trip, keep this place in mind. I would definitely stay here again.

Spent a full week here in mid-October. Some of the sites in the C loop are quite unique. Those facing the lake have some fencing and decking. Some were amazingly large while ours was easily large enough for our 34 foot fifth wheel, and offered a nice sized wood deck, but parking the truck was a challenge. Some neighboring sites had room enough for parking 3 trucks and a large camper. We had full hookups for $30 per night, but the unbelievable 11% tax added $3.30 to the cost. Beware -- all sales taxes are high in Arkansas -- the lowest we came across was 9 percent!
All sites in the A loop are along the lake and have full hook-ups for $34 a night (extra cost for the view, I suppose). "Interior" sites in C loop can be short and very unlevel. Choose cautiously -- I would call ahead and speak to staff, as they were pleasant and helpful. The D loop (in the woods) offered no views of the water at all.
Great spot for kayaking and fishing as many fishing tournaments are held here. Not very much in the way of hiking, although a day trip to Mt. Nebo (15 minutes) offers a great hike along the entire rim (about 4 miles) with beautiful views of the valley. A longer day trip (about 40 minutes) to Petit Jean State Park offers many hiking trails, including a great 2 mile hike out and back to scenic Cedar Falls.
The town of Russellville offers everything anyone would need. We were able to obtain a cell signal and internet quite readily, as a cell tower was within site across the lake.

Because of the Coronavirus we canceled our spring break trip and stayed near home. Lake Dardanelle State Park is always a great place to stay. We had a site beside the lake, plenty of room and full hook-ups. I had three grandsons with me, ages 15,9,3. I kept busy but we had a wonderful time. Rest rooms were very clean. We maintained social distancing, although many at the campground did not. We watched some movies on my iPad through DirecTV, so phone reception was very good. If you are traveling in this area, you will be disappointed if you don’t camp here.

Because the visitor center was closed, we checked in by phone. Everyone was very helpful. My grandson found a wallet from a person in Oklahoma and the Ranger came by to pick it up so they could mail it back to him.

It was a busy park and so much fun.

We stayed here one night while making our way west. The site facilities are great with full hookups and plenty of space in the loop where our site was (site 11, Campsite Road). We didn't use the bathrooms or anything else so I can't speak to those.

The stores, etc. of Russellville are just 5 to 7 minutes away so close enough for shopping, laundry, etc.(We used Janie's Kwik-Way Coin Laundry on E 16th St which is about a mile from the Walmart.

One thing to note is that the official brochure you can get on the AR state parks website doesn't show where the site numbers are except in a general sense (i.e., 1-16 on campground road). If you want to know exactly what you're reserving you can find a better map online. I searched for "lake dardanelle state park campground map" and under images found a good one here: https://media.mobilerving.com/mobilerving/uploads/23855/1500038015_uploads.jpg

We had a great site. The fire pit was a little separated from the site and had bushes that shielded it from sight and had a nice view of the lake. It seemed very private and nice. There were other sites that were very short so do your research.

Okay, posted a review on lake Dardanelle state park site (which is actually part of this). Very confusing, as the pictures are mostly from the Russellville campground, which is what we stayed in. Be sure to use address 2428 marina road, Russellville for directions. We ended up miles away using address and gps from dardanelle Campendium. Stayed in site 36 which had a Great Lake view if you pulled in instead of backing in. Moved to site 14 which also had a wonderful lake view and 50 amp service instead of 30.

After 3 nights of sleeping in parking lots while driving across the country we wanted something nice and a bit more rejuvenating and boy was thus the right choice.

We had a lakefront site with awesome water (and sunset) views. The spaces are large and paved with an adjacent area with picnic table and grill, all the sites also have an additional level tent pad. There s also a decent amount of trees that provide shade but are tall enough to not really obstruct the view.

I will say the showers were not great- no separate locks or changing area, just a shower curtain and the area outside of the curtain is right in front of the door that opens to the outside. Also they never got hot, but considering our site had full ups we would just use our own shower next time (we didn’t feel like unpacking all the stuff we had stored in there for just one night)

Cell service with AT&T worked fine including streaming.

Stayed one night on a cross-country trip. Well worth the $19 ($23 w/o senior discount) for full hookup, showers, big campsite with a lake view. This seems to be a destination campground for families, boaters, and fisher people. There’s even a swimming beach (water was too warm when I was here so I didn’t swim). Really needed this break.

Stayed here for 4 nights just to get out of the house and it was wonderful! The lake was beautiful. Wished we could've brought our kayaks but weren't able to this time since we didn't have our kayak rack for our truck just yet. Our camp site was great for us as it had no shade (states this in the camp site info when booking). My husband works remote so it was a great spot to set up our Starlink. The bathhouse was your standard campground bathroom/shower combo but it was well maintained! A part of it was closed due to renovation but there were no issue with availability even with the campground almost full. The park itself is beautiful with plenty of room to hang up hammocks, walk your dogs, ride bikes etc. There is a playground and swim beach which we did not utilize. Would definitely come back with our kayaks. If you're not into fishing or boating there is another state park close by called Mt. Nebo that has plenty of hiking and mountain bike trails.
