The campground was very safe and the sites were large. It is dry camping but they have potable water. They bring the potable water to you which is nice. They are very dog friendly which was great for us. You can’t beat the location. A bike path that leads into town is located right by the camp ground. There is also a dog park just down the road. My wife and I walked and biked into town and it was a very short walk/bike. Try the pizza mill just down the road!

My son and I stayed for the summer. Good wifi. Wifi works for conference calls. Paved city walking trail system just off the property. It's a half mile to town. Stayed parked in camp and walked to town for the carnival. This camp has a front row seat to the city's 4th of July fireworks show. Duke, the dog, is the unofficial welcoming committee. Woke up to periodic hot air ballons overhead. Deer, geese, and coyotes visit nearby. Custer State Park with larger wildlife up the road. About 44 min to Rapid City. If you just need a safe place to park for the night, this is the place. Photos a mix of the camp and views from the walking trail. The owners are very down-to-earth, and I would definitely stay here again.

First of all, the owners are absolutely wonderful! Very down to earth and accommodating! Our kids didn’t want to leave. I love that you can walk to downtown Custer. It’s a great little place, we’re glad we stayed here!

The couple who own this are wonderful. They are in the process of turning this land into a rv park. So for now it’s just a nice, convenient place to land. Close to many area attractions and we had good Verizon service. I’ll be happy to return, will love to see their dream come true!

We normally boondock, but there isn't anywhere close to town that would fit our 30' fifth wheel and I'm so glad we found this RV park instead. This is a new RV park that is only dry camping for now with no sewer or water, but I had a great experience here! Dan, the owner, can help you get water and let you know where the closest dump is. I can't say enough great things about the owners. They are so kind and welcoming.
The campground is right in town and has a pathway you can walk or ride your bike to town (less than a mile). There is also a really nice dog park a half mile down the road.
Speaking of which this RV park is extremely dog-friendly and not required to keep your dog on a leash if they're well behaved. There is also a river that runs through the RV park where your dog can swim.
When you exit off the main road onto Washington St., don't miss the dirt road and RV park entrance sign right as you exit. (you won't actually go down Washington St.)
