This site allowed our 5th wheel to face east with beautiful sunrises, and we had water view out of our back windows and could catch a bit of the sunset in the evening. Even with the high weekender traffic the campground quiets down by 10 pm.

We really loved this park and Lanier Lake that it sits on. Unfortunately, the only down fall was that they had closed all their washrooms due to COVID-19, so using a portable tank was fun. We had awesome weather and one rainy day but that didn't keep us down. The lake can be busy on the weekend, but calm during the week with a lot of boat traffic. Wifi was not an issuer as our kids still had to do Homework for school and have Zoom mtgs. There are plenty of shops and stores near by for all your needs. Also around Lake Lanier there are so many parks for fishing to hiking if that's what you like. We will surely be going back and hopefully during better times.
PRO-nice step down patio setting
PRO-beautiful and clean park
PRO-friendly staff
PRO-water and electric hookup
PRO-close to stores and shoppes
CON-narrow driveway and slight slope

Had a really nice stay at Shady Grove, the site we had was nice and level with ample room for our 35’ travel trailer and F250.
Just below the our stand is a large gravel area witha fire pit and picnic table I’m really surprised how much space is allotted to the site.
The wash room was closed due to COVID-19 so I cannot comment on them.

Site 72 was nice but site 82 was excellent!
Both had lots of room and a tiered setting. Rv in parking spot with place to put out chairs, etc and hook up then a lower level for fire and eating.
Both had access to water but 82 had quite the view and felt more secluded.
Also Scott was so helpful and one of the nicest people I’ve ever interacted with while at a campground.
This is definitely a family campground, so if solitude is what you’re seeking this isn’t it, though no one was bothersome. Just have to be okay with all the kids running around. It was really enjoyable. Was only going to stay one night and ended up staying four.
Also great version and att coverage so I could work!

Great part to stay at and for the location being convenient to the highways makes it more appealing. The sites are big and spread out.

Quite a trek thru the exburbs of ATL to get here but a clean park. Our site was steep and required a lot of leveling and there were 10 steps down to the picnic table. Showers were spotless and good OATV and decent Verizon. We blew off our second prepaid night b’c it was just too far from where we needed to be outside ATL.

Great Staff! Good roads. Well thought out with good signage. Immaculate Bath houses. Nice views of major lake with sandy beaches and boat launch. Convenient dumpsters and dump site. Tables, fire rings, grills, steps and sites are recently updated. Georgia State parts don't disappoint but Shady Grove is #1 on my list. Planning to return very soon and stay a while. Great tent camping sites, too.
