What was in 1957 a small weekend seafood shack, was founded by John Adinolfo, a postal worker from middletown, known to his friends as Johnny Ad. It can be readily found on food review pages across the internet. Over the years, Johnny Ad's has received awards for having the "best lobster roll" and "best hot dog".
