I've been twice already and planning another stop. Great history site, so easy to access right off the freeway.
Worth the stop! Tragic, but also awe inspiring to see the place were this epic battle of history occurred in person.
Definitely worth the stop! Especially good for the history buff, but also has a wonderful overview for those who may not know the story.
such an amazingly peaceful place now
Definite stop for history with families. Small hike up to see some of the historic sites. Next door to cemetery.
Large parking lot for RV’s and noticed bathrooms near by. Small museum and history overviews at each site location also accessible by phone for audio tour.
$25 is a little steep of a price for a car, but it was still need to drive through and see.
This is amazing however the location that is indicated here is not exactly where we ended up but you’ll find it be sure and stay for the Ranger park talk about the battles in the policies the times it’s very enlightening
Very educational visitors center. The kids liked working for a junior ranger badge. The ranger talk about the event was enlightening and the memorials were humbling. On the anniversary there's a reenactment
put together by another group nearby which could have been interesting. So glad we stopped!
Definitely a must see. A well conceived and updated tribute to the brave, confused, and heartbreaking struggle of the West.
What is with the chicken in the painting? Please, everyone, ask this question of the staff at this very well maintained mini museum to a crucial event in history. They must have spent a fortune on artifacts and the ticket prices show it. Situated in a backroom of a nice gift shop run by non Native Americans, they pour their whites hearts and souls into informing and entertaining. Far to go, but worth it.
