I was also told they had a sewage leak that affected the lake. Not sure which is true or perhaps both. The bath houses leave a lot to be desired. We had just come from a NY state park so perhaps we were spoiled there. Their bath houses were MUCH nicer. http://www.rvlostyet.com

Overal a great experience. It started with a very smooth and quick check-in. Throughout our stay the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Most sites are level and it's clear someone tidied then up between campers.

We stayed at Mosquito Lake for overnighters on our way to and from our destination. It was early March so the campground was empty the first night, and just a few neighbors on the way back. The sites were clean, level and well maintained. The reservation website didn't allow for a single night on the return trip, but we called and they were very kind and helped us out with the reservation.

This is our second time at this campground. Midweek it was quiet. The sites are very clean with picnic tables and fire rings. Our site was electric only, but there are full hookups available. The bathrooms were super clean. Some sites have a view of the lake. We use this as our last stop on the way home and dump all the tanks one last time. I can’t say much for the actives but there is a boat launch. Note there was a $7 booking fee.

Nice state park campground. It’s really buggy, so be prepared. Some older bathroom facilities, but looks like they are in the process of updating. Staff were great. Walmart within 10 minutes in case you forget anything. Nice, wide sites with woods as backdrop. Would go again.

I stayed for 3 nights in early November. I received a 10% off veteran's discount. There were only a handful or two of campers spread out among the hundreds of sites. Autumn colors were gorgeous. Camp maintainers were still out and about every day at the bathrooms, showers, and sites. Cleanliness of bathrooms and showers was well above average. All roads are asphalt and in great condition for bicycling or walking. The 30 amp worked fine, although the pedestal was dirty, full of cobwebs, and had a bit of plastic broken off of the receptacle. The only downside is that, during the day and into the evening, there is the persistent low drone of traffic noise from the highway to the southwest. Otherwise, it would be a nearly silent campground. Also, watch out for falling acorns in autumn. They're big enough to leave dimples in automobiles.
Keep in mind that Ohio is one of the States that has substantially increased prices for its campgrounds by going to a reservation-only online system and charging a $6.50 fee for every reservation. That raises the cost of a single night by 25%. Shame on States for eliminating at least some first come-first served sites and invoking yet more charges for citizens.

We camped here in late August, 2022 for 3 nights. Had reserved online ahead of time, so nightly cost averaged $30.25 a night for an electric site. GPS took us in to the park the wrong way and I don't thing the signage was that great. Our site was slanted, not level, but long enough. Had a bit of a hard time getting level - in fact, we weren't level (but our fridge is 12 volt, so we were fine).
There is a very cool nature play area for kids, good walking to walk the dog, lots of sites to choose from, yes - mosquitos in the summer, a launch ramp, had to fill our jerry jugs at a spigot (we added a 3rd night due to incoming rain) and some fun geocaches inside the park.
The only bummer was no trash cans within the loops (I understand why) which I like because I have a dog (poop bags). The dumpsters are out by the entrance so just a longer walk.

The park was very nice. Our site(205) was spacious and pretty private. Be prepared to fight the mosquitos. Park staff stated that people report thar mosquito coils are the most effective. Of course, we had everything, but. We had 2 bars of Verizon 5G. However, you could only make phone calls and messages, no data or streaming. The only real complaint is the location of the bath houses, running water bathrooms, and lack of dish washing station. The back loops only had pit toilets, and the closest bath house was near the first loop and entrance. Additionally, the bath houses were more locker room showers than private showers. If you wanted to keep your stuff dry, you had to leave it on a bench unsecured. There were also zero places other than your camp site or bathroom sink to wash dishes.

Had a great time camping here. Camp sites were easy to find and had more than enough space for my tent.
