“Camping / RV in Albany, NH”
Blackberry Crossing is unique in that is was a CCC (Civilian Conservation Corps) Camp during the 1930's. There is a self-guided tour of the old camp within the campground. The campground has 26 sites that are available on a first come, first served basis. There are hand pumps for water and vault toilets. A short walk from the campground is the Albany Covered Bridge, The Nanamocomuck Ski Trail, and the Boulder Loop hiking trail. There are coin operated showers six miles west on the Kancamagus Highway (Rt 112).

$25/night for dry camping at a pretty, secluded campground in a national forest. My spot was huge, had a cement pad and a nice fire pit and was surrounded by trees. But I picked the wrong side of the campground. Even though I couldn’t see the road, I could hear it. And sadly for me, big trucks drive that road making big truck noises as they go up the hills. Another site would have been better, I'm sure.
No showers, although coin-op showers available up the road. Friendly campground host came by with a list of the rules. Some Conservation Corps structures, but I didn't get to explore much because the rain was torrential. Would definitely camp there again, though. No cell service on either T-mobile or Verizon.
