“river views galore!”
Park your rig and unwind at Uniontown KOA Holiday, an ideal setting for relaxation and recreation. Situated between the Youghiogheny River and the Great Allegheny Passage bike trail, every campsite comes with a view of the trail or river. Cast for trout or launch a kayak (rentals available) into the Youghiogheny. Or set off on a bike ride of any length along the 150-mile GAP trail. Enjoy themed weekends with crafts, bingo, DJs and live bands, bonfires and music by the pool. Plan a day trip to Laurel Caverns, Kennywood or Idlewild amusement parks, Fort Necessity, Fallingwater, one of Frank Lloyd Wright's homes, or any of the many attractions of the Laurel Highlands that lies just a half hour east. Pool: Memorial Weekend - Labor Day Weekend. Max pull thru: 80 feet. We are open all year with limited sites and amenities in the winter months and are booking thru December 31, 2023!

All the while, a mossy thick covers the rocks below the water you’re floating down.
At Camp River’s Edge, in Connellsville, PA, not far from Ohiopyle, you can rent yourself a tube, a kayak or a canoe, and float yourself down three miles of the Youghegheny River. It’s a slow and easy crawl, so feel free to bring yourself a few sandwiches, maybe a 6 pack of Yuengling, and all the sunscreen your skin is interested in. The staff will drive you up the river, drop you off near a large bridge right in Connellsville, and it’ll be nothing but a day full of sunshine and water between you and your campsite.
And if you tire of riding down rivers and having riverside campfires, you can take advantage of their pool, a small arcade with some classic hits (including pinball), or a community fire pit and basketball court/playground that seems like it would be incredibly fun to be at, were anyone else taking advantage of it as well.
We’ve stayed here twice now and both times the service and staff have been quite polite.

Stayed a few nights as we had business in the area, and have family in nearby Masontown and Uniontown. I love this park - have stayed here before. Lots of things to do, clean and well-kept, and beautiful along the Yough River. Also, there are restaurants and markets in nearby Connellsville and Uniontown, so while you feel you are lost in the forest, you are near plenty of facilities. Would have given 5 stars but it is a little pricey.

Site type: Back In, 50/30 Amps, Full Hookups Standard
THE GOOD
Site: Gravel and grass sites with fire pit. A bit bumpy and can be tough to get into when crowded (it was extremely crowded for Halloween festivities with extra vehicles and such). A bit tight with small driving area but the sites were spaced out nicely in the living areas. Close to the river but not right on it.
Grounds: Clean with a nice store and small concessions/grill with ice cream and shakes.
Staff: Very nice people.
Fun: Really fun family vibe.
Facilities: Laundry was clean and well-maintained. Did not use restrooms/showers.
WORTH NOTING (Not good or bad)
Train: There is a train directly across from the river so that can sometimes be loud if it gets in your heads. Nothing you can't get accustomed to though.
Cell: Cannot recall the specifics but was able to work as normal for the week.
Resort type: Kind of has a resort vibe combined with woodsy campground on the river.
