“Top Bookstore in America!”
The Book Loft of German Village is a city-block long store, located at 631 South Third Street, less than one mile south of Ohio's Capitol in the center of Columbus. One of the nation's largest independent book stores, The Book Loft of German Village, is located at 631 South Third Street in Columbus, Ohio, just a few blocks South of the state capitol building. The pre-Civil War era buildings that once were general stores, a saloon and a nickelodeon cinema, now are home to 32 rooms of Bargain Books.
Even if you don't consider yourself a "bookish" person, stop in here. There's literally so much stuff that you'll probably find something that interests you!
This place is a labarynth of small rooms and little nooks, all filled with shelves and shelves of books. You can easily get lost here for 4 or 5 hours. They also have great posters for that college dorm room or office. And I got a cool T-Shirt of one of my favorite books. If you're into books, this is a must-stop-and-see for your road trip through Columbus.
Love the Book Loft! My wife and I are planning another trip to Columbus and the Book Loft is a must stop every time we go! It's such a unique place with treasures literally around every corner.
Such a special place. You can definitely get lost here, I wouldn't not recommend bringing a flashlight. Many, many new books and posters. A great graphic novel selection.
This place has books on literally every subject! It's easy to get lost in the narrow aisles of books here, but that's half the fun!
