With that being said, we had stable electricity, great water pressure, and clean bath house. Our site also had sewer. We had a great time. It was a 45 minute wait to get out of the lot after the concert. We enjoyed the 5 minute walk to the campsite. Was able to relax and watch the crowd.

We stayed here in August 2019 for one night because the location was so convenient to our friends home in Columbus. It turned out to be comically torturous.
First, we called to make sure there wasn't an event going on so that there would be space and were told by the office that there was not and that the rate was $35; first come, first served. What we didn't know was that there was a music festival going on at the stadium that's right next to the expo center property. Upon arrival, our tow car was disconnected and thus charged $35 for the campsite, PLUS $20 for event parking for the motorhome and tow vehicle, bringing our 1 night total to $75! We were able to call the front office and get them to give us back the $20 for the motorhome, but still were out $55 for the night.
The music festival was mainly hip hop and rap, so we had the pleasure of our RV walls literally shaking from the bass. Oh, and the campground is also right under a flight path and next to train tracks :) When we took our dog for a short walk in the evening, we also had the pleasure of seeing a concertgoer come in through the unlocked gate to the campsites, fully disrobe, then proceed to squat and urinate in the campground.
I would ONLY camp here if there's a concert or event that you want to attend on site. Otherwise, steer clear!!

You don't stay here for serene beauty or immaculately maintained grounds, you stay here because you can't get closer to downtown Columbus. Walking distance to the Short North district.
Funny story: when we arrived, there was nobody at the booth to take our money so we just occupied one of the campsites (they're all first come first serve). We tried calling the office multiple times to talk to someone about paying for our site and never got a response. Tried multiple times over the 6 days that we were there, but was never able to reach anyone....so we stayed here with full hookups for free for 6 days. I wouldn't count on that being your experience, but all is to say it's not the best run campground.
There are usually events happening at the fairgrounds, so expect some noise but this didn't bother us much.

Worst experience yet. Website says $35 so we pulled in at midnight for a quick overnight stop. A knock on the door at 7:00 am informed us that we owed them $50. The entrance signage said $35 and I pulled up the website on my phone and showed him that it said $35. He said that it had changed the previous Monday because of the state fair and they charge more during the two weeks it is here. I pointed out that there were 4 campers in the whole place and that the fair wasn't until next week and asked why the signs haven't been updated and why the website still says 35. He told me that it had gone up this past week to 50 because of the state fair. We did this two more times until I realized he had no clue about any of this and was just doing his job so I asked him to call his boss which he did. His boss gave me the exact same story when I told her that didn't sound right to me she asked if I was going to pay or if she needed to call the state police. I guess thats how they roll in Columbus. I paid up and then went back packed up and headed to our next stop. Needless to say I wont stop here again. Be sure to call ahead and verify the rates before you stop.

We enjoyed this campground, Simple, no fuss space with 400+ sites in total. Nearby train but no issues with noise except a low rumble. Rumble from nearby industrial air conditioners as well but not bothersome, just a low hum.
Tmobile speeds on home internet was exceptional at 500/100mbps. Full hookups in the east campground. Great shade for us with 2 big trees. Only 7-8 other campers in the entire park while we were there. Sewer connections are weirdly located but at least they have them. Enjoyed our stay and would stay again.

We chose this camping spot for the adventure of something different, and it didn't disappoint. There was some confusion getting a site as my research said it was first come, first serve but the attendants wanted to know about our reservation. Tommy, the attendant on duty at Korbel East/West, was very helpful and got us taken care of. As stated on line there was plenty of sites open so no problem getting one.
I had checked to see when the State Fair was going so we wouldn't run into the crowd but what I didn't know was there are many horse competitions leading up to the Fair. Still it was fun seeing all the horses and people dressed up for their events.
We had water and electric, 30 amp. There was a dump station in Korbel West. Something about the electric wouldn't let us use a/c and micro at same time. But that's doable. And the dump station was on the wrong side which was also fixable you just had to back up to it.
The only really downside for us was the grass was really long and little biting bugs would fly out when you walked in it.
If we go back again, which I definitely would if in the area, I would chose Korbel North. The sites have more space and the grass wouldn't be an issue.
