“One of the oldest cemeteries in Ohio”
Green Lawn is a very special park where past, present, and future blend to create a memorial, a sanctuary – a celebration of life. Organized as a non-profit association in 1848, Green Lawn represents a vast treasure for Columbus historians and bird watchers, and a sanctuary for those seeking a peaceful interlude. As one of the oldest and largest cemeteries in Ohio, Green Lawn serves as the resting place for well known and influential individuals who made significant contributions to Columbus, the state of Ohio and the entire country.
Greenlawn Cemetery is a beautiful cemetery that has gardens, ponds, arboretum, and a peaceful chapel with amazing mosaics inside
Gravesite of Eddie Rickenbacker (in back west side, sect 58) & James Thurber (flat maker in the front of sect 50). Nice large park-like cemetery with some interesting older stones. No maps or info for notable graves, office staff isn't interested in helping.
