“African hospitality at its best!”
The diverse flavors from ’The Land Of Gold' came to the beautiful land of buckeyes when Lisa and Syed decided to open a restaurant in Columbus to serve the delicious African food they ate growing up. The recipes which were handed over from generations have been treasured by this couple and you can feel it when you eat each food in Drelyse which has been cooked with lot of love and passion. Drelyse has been ranked #1 in all the forums in Columbus for years due to the high integrity and cleanliness they have in preparing food they love to serve. You will see a smiling face always happy to serve you the most delicious food. If you are a first timer to African restaurant, Syed will be happy to assist you in choosing the right food which will suite your flavors. You never get tired of eating here as all the ingredients used are natural. Ghanaian cuisine and gastronomy is diverse, and includes an assortment of soups and stews with varied seafoods and most Ghanaian soups are prepared with vegetables, meat, poultry or fish. Fish is important in the Ghanaian diet with tilapia, roasted and fried whitebait, smoked fish and crayfish all being common components of Ghanaian dishes. Banku is a common Ghanaian starchy food made from ground corn (maize), and cornmeal based staples, dokonu (kenkey) and banku are usually accompanied by some form of fried fish (chinam) or grilled tilapia and a very spicy condiment made from raw red and green chillies, onions and tomatoes (pepper sauce).
