“your NC hiking adventure starts here”
Little Lost Cove Cliffs is the perfect hiking destination. This loop is about 5 miles long. It is a very nice loop, filled with views, waterfalls, and creek wades. The trail climbs steeply to meet the top of Little Lost Cove cliffs. Here, you get great views of the valley and Timber Ridge. Climbing with belay ropes here is also an option. The trail heads downhill and picks up an old roadbed. Take NC 105 south, turn right onto US-221, turn left onto NC 181, turn left onto Old Jonas Ridge Rd., cross over the Blue Ridge Parkway and continue on the road for 1.75 miles, there will be a white church on your left continue straight onto stone road (Pineola Rd.), continue on Pineola Rd. for 4.5 miles, trailhead will be on right. (You can also access the trail a mile back on the road.)
