Confirmed by 1 users | Last reported on August 12, 2022We got here just at dusk as the police department was making there nightly round. It's a good thing we did! The park is only open overnight in warmer months despite what the website says. However the officer was very nice and directed us to a nearby area we could park overnight since we were only passing through. We did turn around in the park and if looks like there are some level spots and good fishing. There are 3 gas stations very close too.

Lots of room for big RVs. The RV designated spots are near 3 picnic tables and fire pits at the entrance to the wooded camping area. Staff told us we could park anywhere in the huge parking lot, just pay the $10 and put the receipt in the window.
We paid our $10, put the receipt in the window and had an enjoyable night’s sleep. Flat and easy access to the RV spots. Plenty of turnaround room.
In addition there are about 15 camping spots if you have a smaller rig. Pretty wooded sites and a few would accommodate a 20+ foot rig.
Down side: no water. Of course no electric either. Staff said they plan to bring in utilities next year.
Lots of old gravel roads for walking. Nice place to fish, kayak, canoe. No gas power board allowed.

Right off I-80. Bare bones sites, but decent privacy. Perfect if just looking for a place to crash for the night.

Right off the interstate very easy access and plenty of room for a big rig. View of the lake was a bonus. No hook ups, no problem. 10 bucks. Beats Walmart! T-mobile data 134M!

We stopped here while traveling - an unplanned stop - but already decided to put it on our list of favorites. It is beautiful and very serene. Next time we will plan a longer stay and enjoy the many amenities. Such a wonderful place.
