this is the zoo my grandpa worked at as i was a kid and i loved getting to spend my summers there helping my grandpa every day thanks for giving me such a great child hood and i love driving the 8 hrs to show my son this wonderful place Marjorie
Great little outing for a family specially with kids. The zoo is kind of small and not crowded. The entrance fee was very reasonable but there are charges for for additional activities like the bird feeding, giraffe feeding, the kiddy rides, and etc.
Great stop for younger kiddos! We lasted about 90min in the August heat; maybe could stay a little longer on a cooler day or if we did the rides, etc. There are some fun “feed the animal” options which could be a highlight. There are not tons of exhibits and some animals are not easy to find in their habitat but it is a very nice small zoo. This is not far off the highway and we’d recommend it if you like animals and need to walk around a bit! Good price and clean.
Best part is the train! My little ones love the train and carousel! Not a huge zoo so it was great for grandparents come along! Clean and friendly!
