"It's never gonna change" is the comment from John Hotz, the 3rd generation owner of Hotz's Cafe. The bar hasn't changed since it opened in 1919, and is a pleasant step back to a time when the likes of Lou Gherig, Rocky Colavito, Ty Cobb and Babe Ruth stopped by for a nightcap after a ball game. They joined factory workers who would walk up the hill for a shot and a brew. The original mahogany bar and bottle cap stools are part of the neighborhood and the popular 1940's shuffleboard gets its fair amount of use.
