“relaxed southern dining”
The Catfish House provides relaxed southern dining in Clarksville, Tennessee. We are famous for our catfish and seafood. Jerry and Carolyn Ellis purchased The Catfish House restaurant in Clarksville in the late 1970's. Their daughters, Cindy and Teresa, and now their grandchildren are carrying on the tradition of excellent food and service. Please enjoy your time with us and thank you for your patronage and your continued support of our family business.
We couldn't find the Catfish House and finally called. The correct address is 1461 Zinc Plant Road. We were glad we were persistent, because we really enjoyed our meals! The catfish was great, as were the vinegar coleslaw, okra, white beans, and the best hush puppies ever. Our only complaint? Much more food than we could eat and we were staying in a hotel, so we really couldn't take advantage of a doggie bag.
I really enjoy the Catfish House. The ambiance inside has got a hometown feel, but the outside setting is beautiful. There's a small winding road to get to this secluded joint, but when it clears up, there's a nice large parking lot to a pretty impressive building that I wasn't expecting. Although, the prices could afford a small adjustment, it's well worth the trip for some great catfish.
