Posty's Sinona Creek Trading Post is located in Chistochina, Alaska. The items on this site are local authentic Athabascan artwork and crafts Chistochina is located on the Tok Cutoff off the Glenn Highway. Chistochina started out as an Athabascan fish camp. The Athasbacan people would come to harvest salmon from the Copper River and it's tributaries. In 1887 the village access trail became part of the Valdez-Eagle Trail, which was constructed by miners during the gold rush. In the early 1900's a trading post established. People would come to trade furs and other items for groceries.
