“Outdoors & Recreation in Chicago, IL”
Dog park!
Love the mornings, to watch the sun come up over the lake and also at dusk when the lights come on... a great group of regulars come out to play at these times. While you wait for pups to arrive there are a large variety of toys and agility equipment features to partake in. I've been to all the dog parks in the city and most in the burbs, and this dog park is by far my most favorite.
A unique dog park that has a little bit of everything for every pup and puparent; bags, water, toys, benches, shades, time-out area, agility features ...with many photo ops. Extra safety features include two double entry/exit gates, a mid-gate when latched closed turns the dog park into two separate secure play areas, plus for worst case scenarios, there's a first aid kit on the premises.
Free parking is available in the adjacent lot located NW of the dog park. Go to google maps and follow the visual map to find the parking lot.
My pups love this place and i in turn do too. Weather permitting, we go every chance we can get.. Most of the dogs and their puparents are very friendly. They have a community board and provide opportunities for puparent to connect via their many social-media-sites and at their offline social events ie annual PUPicnic in the summer and HOWLoween PAWty in the fall. 'Dog Park' is an inadequate descriptor for Jackson Bark, 'Pup Amusement Park' or 'Puptopia' would be more like it.
More safety features, amenities and photo ops than any other dog park. In one word... “puptopia”.
Hands down, Jackson Bark is the best dog park in Chicago.... but don't take my word for it; compare all the dog parks by size, features, amenities, photo ops, community events and overall review site ratings.
Just when i thought this place couldn't get any better, it keeps getting better and better. Always adding or improving upon the agility course, lounge areas, safety features, plus throwing community events.
Simply put a 'Doggie Wonderland'. A beautiful location with lots of room, features and amenities, that you're not likely to find anywhere else. A truly unique dog park.
