“Famous gourmet Hunan cuisine”
Lao Hunan is Chef Tony's Hu’s 5th restaurant in Chicago. It focuses on famous gourmet Hunan cuisine, which is characterized by fresh spice and lingering taste of food. The chef is from Hunan and has over 30 years experience specializing in Hunan cuisine. For exotic flavors, spices and dishes stop by and bring an appetite for an exciting culinary experience.
Arguably the quirkiest of Tony Hu's Lao empire (Lao Szechuan, Lao Beijing, etc.), this bright Chinatown spot is also home to some of Hu's most memorable dishes, like jade tofu and Chairman Mao's Favorite Pork Belly.
