“High class cup of coffee”
Located on the 12th floor of the magnificent Merchandise Mart, we have partnered with 1871 - a state of the art center for Chicago's digital start ups. Designed by renowned architectural firm Gensler, black metal and reclaimed walnut bar runs throughout the space, complimenting the two La Marzocco espresso machines. If you're looking for a great cup of coffee, look no further than Intelligentsia.
One of my favorite coffee shops/roasters in Chicago! Go here and you will always get a quality cup of coffee or espresso. It's a little pricy, but you have to pay for perfection.
The best coffee in Chicago, without a doubt. These people take their coffee seriously, and as a result, take themselves a bit too seriously as well. If you're not a knowledgable coffee snob, you might get a few dirty looks from the baristas as you fumble around the menu (definitely, definitely, definitely do not say anything like "what I usually get at Starbucks is a...."), but if you enjoy coffee, this place is a godsend.
Heads up, they close early, so don't try swinging by for a late-night brew.
The coffee here was really really good, but it didn't blow my mind. Worth it if you're in Chicago and you need/enjoy quality coffee.
