Barcelona Lighthouse

The gentleman working it was very knowledgeable. The state is currently working towards actually opening up the lighthouse for visitors. However, the work that needs to be done to make that happen is extensive.

We stopped here and parked in the public parking for the beach area(a very short walk from there). We only took photos on the outside of it. The lighthouse itself is closed to the public, they are working on restoring the staircase for safety issues. There was a small museum as well, we did not go in it. There are very nice picnic tables above the public beach with an amazing view of Lake Eerie. It was a nice break from a long drive. There were some port-a-jons down at the marina, but no public restrooms. There is a whole drive around the lake on route 5. You can drive from lighthouse to lighthouse with beautiful views.
