Confirmed by 2 users | Last reported on October 03, 2021This is a perfect overnight spot. Right off of I 55 next to Boomland. It's 12 bucks. Electric. Water. Sewer. There's a nice view of the state prison to the south. No big deal. Boomland must be visited next door. Fantastic selection of spices. Back to park. It's a great pull over for night spot. Bathrooms weren't working. So no review. Again. 12 bucks. The sites can handle a big rig with a tow. Our dogs went to a park across the street surrounded by water. Off their leash. They ran and ran and ran. If the dogs were to review. It would be 12 stars. Anyhow. It's a perfect pull over spot.

Level site, full hookup for $12 what else can you say? Easy access fuel at Boomland, fun store good restaurant. Looked in restroom didn’t go in. Stopped on the way to Texas and 3 weeks later on the way back. Second site just as good as the first. Next trip will stop again.

$12 for full hookups and pull through?!?!? Sign me up. This was a nice location to relax while on our way south. Only 3 other people here and a nice pond across the street with a walking trail and picnik area. The lot was a little muddy but pretty level. It was also a little noisy but what would you expect with it being parked right next to the highway. You can pay at the campground with an envelope and cash or pay with a card at the boomland truck stop. We would stay here again.

Came in at 0100. Paid the 12 bucks. Plugged in, went to sleep. Long day of driving in snow storm. Temps in IL were around 6 degrees...awful driving. Pulled into Boomland...(again) no worries. Boomland store has some really good canned items. We purchased some candied jalpeno's....they were delicious. Couple hats, sunglasses...down the road. Again, perfect stopping place after long day.

We weren’t sure if this place was for real, but it is! full hookups level, pull through, big rig friendly for $15. It’s next to the BOOMLAND store, Turn before the store and go past the gas station. Our stay was very quiet. We enjoyed walking around the pond across the street and strolling through BOOMLAND store. When we were there we paid the $15 in the BOOMLAND store. We would stay here again

We stopped at Boomland as it was getting late. Pull in to Boomland and the camping area is behind it. Full hookup if you need it. No bathrooms though. On your honor cash only. Some highway noise and nearby lights but didn’t keep us awake.

This place is more than adequate for an overnight stay. Where else can you get full hookups for $15.00 a night. Easy on / off access to I 57. Fuel up with gas right in front of the Boomland store.

We pulled in here dead tired. We were having trouble getting where we wanted to be and needed a good place for the night. When we pulled up it looked sketchy. Wheat farmers were biting their fields nearby, there is a prison nearby, and Boomland is a gas station/Fireworks stand/convenience store that did not have a classy atmosphere. However the $15 price for full hookups was cheap. We got settled in and it was quiet and we felt safe. There is a McDonald’s nearby so we grabbed some Diesel from Boomland and McD quick breakfast and hooked up and pulled out the next morning. I wouldn’t want to stay there and do day trips away from the camper. But it was great for overnight pass through.

Found this place on this site and had to try it out. Hard to believe but $15 for a full hook up...Pull in, pick a site, get set up and hit the drop box to leave your 15 bucks in cash. Careful if you want 50a, some sites are 30a only. A lot of the electric boxes say what the power is for that site and you can check before pulling in. Clean level sites, grass was cut and the area seems to be well maintained. No reservations, just pull in and pick a site. Walking distance to a resturant, conveince and fireworks store. Gas station on site with both gas and diesel.
