Confirmed by 3 users | Last reported on July 17, 2023Facilities are clean and new (Summer 2019), there is a new kids park. The sites are quite close together in the field section we are in, but the ones.by the river and elsewhere are a little more private. WIFI actually works well, although the site is quite quiet.

While sites by the river are a little better with some trees, they are still so close it is hard to tell where one begins and the other ends. The open field area is not inviting at all. There is electricity but no water on site. For the price, I certainly expected more. My site had a big mud hole in front to drive through.

We stayed a week in this park, Oct 9 - 16, 2021 as a base to visit Gettysburg and an area state park.
This park was extremely busy on the weekends and nice and quiet during the week.
Our site did not have a sewer connection but they did offer a honey wagon service if staying a week or longer.
Overall good stay for the price--allowed us to visit Gettysburg without the price of that area.

Twin Rivers has made a large capital investment to bring a quality camping experience. Clean kids friendly and well thought out. $ 45 and up per May 2023. Great variety of sites in shade by fishing creek and in open for camping with friends. Many imaginative playgrounds for kids. Showers and restrooms clean. GREAT BALUE!

We enjoyed our stay here. There are a wide array of sites to choose from. Our site was water and electric only but dump station was sufficient and even had heavy duty sewer hoses attached for east hookup. They do offer honey wagon services for longer term stays. Staff was fantastic and were very involved in campground activities. This is a great campground for anyone but kids love it here! Some sites are wooded and back up to a creek for more of a state park feel, while others are in a more traditional RV park setting (kind of an open field with lots of RV spots) so it really just depends on your camping style. This campground feels miles away from town but everything you need is fairly close, within a few miles.

We stayed for 4 days and I wish I was able to stay longer. Tons of activities available to keep your kids outside all day. Yard games like corn hole, ping pong and Gaga ball. If it’s hot, there is a gorgeous creek running through the campground. Staff was friendly and hard working. We will be back for a longer visit next time.

Just happened to be here on a Friday and Saturday night which was "Christmas in July." Not the best choice for a solo or couple looking for a nice quiet place to kick back. However, since there are not many choices in this area, it serves the purpose.
Reasonably easy to get to this campground once driving thru downtown Chambersburg from the Interstate. Campground has quite a mix of sites spread throughout. Only sites left when I reserved were the wide-open grass field sites with 30 amp and water. This area is OK, but a major issue is walking thru the grass early in the morning, especially if coming back from the showers - your feet will be totally soaked since there is no hard surface to walk on in the grass area. The showers were a major disappointment - small, cave-like 3 x 8 foot rooms with the annoying push-button control. Especially annoying here since each pump on the spray control only gave 15 seconds of water. In addition, on occasion a cold blast of water was mixed in during those 15 seconds. Brrrr. No shower curtain which can put the sitting bench, towel and clothes in line for a good spray of water if you are not careful. For about $50 a night, I would certainly expect better from the shower facility.
Iffy to non existent Verizon coverage and the Wi-Fi certainly leaves much to be desired (though I was assured otherwise) and my site was only a matter of 40 feet or so from one of the antennas.
Evidently a good place for families, as it seems likely to be bustling with activity throughout the season, but I wouldn't stay here again.

After a VERY rough 2 hour drive to get there (lost the serpentine belt on my truck at the half way point) we arrived late. I called the office and they said they close at 8 but if I could find my spot that I can hook up and check in the following day. We arrived shortly after 8 and found our spot with ease since their sites are labled well with reflective stickers. Our site (#30) was a grass site that was very level and easy to back into. We were set up and cooking supper quickly. Saturday we walked to the office where they were very friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. We enjoyed the rest of the stay listening to the creek babble and relaxing. The dump station was easy to get to today with a short line. Overall a great experience and we will definitely be back.
