“for the world's largest scarf”
The World's Largest Knitting Needles & World's Largest Crochet Hook were crafted by Jim Bolin of Bolin Enterprises, Inc. as a gift for Jeanette Huisinga of The Yarn Studio. On May 20, 2013, Jeanette knit and crocheted tension squares per Guinness rules in front of a crowd of elementary students. "I want the children to see that they can set a goal and pursue a dream," said Huisinga.
I’m a crocheter and knitter, so I had to see these! Luckily we were there on a Saturday when they were open. Only giving them four stars because the space they keep them in could be better — when we went, they were kind of shoved in a poorly lit corner window and surrounded by retail items, making photos a little tough. If you go to the other end of the shop, they have an impressive amount of boutique yarns for sale, including Noro and Hedgehog Fibres.
They are big and beautifully crafted but they are housed indoors and the shop was closed when we arrived in Casey.
We stop before the store was open so had to look Thur the window .
Very fun...but we stopped after the shop was closed so we had to look at them through the window.
