Ratings Summary
This was the perfect campground for our first camp. We had a pull thru site near the playground. The whole campground was family friendly and yet quiet and relaxing. We went to the beach area and enjoyed some time in the water. They have tubing down the river during the day but we did not opt for that this trip. The staff was very kind and accommodating!!

Really enjoyed our stay here when in the Dyersville area. While booking and entering the park was a little bit strange as no one was around and I never actually spoke with anyone on the phone, all was a go and once we located check-in and our space it was very laid back. We were on a hill, no tree cover, but great views of the site. FHU and next to others but with enough distance to breathe and not be in each others business. In my opinion he owners have done a great job here not allowing the camp to interfere with the nature. It was very clean and everything worked as it was expected. I'd give it 5 stars but take off a star only for the fact that due to the absence of staff there was that initial moment when you were sort of worried as to where to go and if there would be a space. Not a lot of signage but once in you really appreciated that.

Stayed here in a tent. Not a great experience. It's right next to a river, so there's an amazing amount of mosquitoes. Best thing you can say about the bathroom is that it's relatively clean and the toilet flushes. Showers have hot water and nice pressure. Camp sites are relatively clean, but there's some trash around. If you stay here, bring lots of bug spray and patience.
