The noise is the train. It comes about every other hour. Horn blows and within a couple of minutes it’s gone. Sites are not level and some much worse than others. You can level your rig just need devices to do it. Restaurants and shopping near by. Lots to see and do.

If it weren't for the train and its loud horn that goes past all day and ALL night, I would definitely stay here again. Being woken all night long from the train is not great after a big day of driving/sightseeing or before a big day of driving.

The restrooms here were so nice and clean. Great shower heads. Laundry was nice and clean with big machines. Washer $2 - $2.50 a load and dryer $2 a load. Price to stay here reasonable and the site we were on was level. Cable hook up, free WiFi is sketchy mostly unusable for us.

Very nice place. You will have some difficulty with leveling, water pressure, and the train that is less than 300 meters away. You do have lake access.

We loved this rv park the staff was friendly the atmosphere was great my son loved the pool and my favorite was the gated entrances and 24 hour security I would have rated 5 stars but the roads are narrow and somewhat hard to get angled in.

There is only one drawback and that is the train horns. After a while you get used to them. The campground is very safe and patrolled frequently. Easy access to garbage cans, dogs are welcome and quite quiet at night.

We loved it here. The price was good for power and water. Free sewer dump there. Very friendly. Great bathrooms with clean shower stalls. The only bad thing we have to say is the train is VERY loud and goes off all night so not recommended if you’re a light sleeper.

Staying here with my family while my wife is working at a local hospital. Great campground, very friendly staff. Our site was pretty big, and we were able to get level. Our kids love the play ground and the roads are paved for bikes/scooters. only negative is the boat and RV storage lot that is adjacent to the campground. It does block the view of the lake for most sites. The train could be a problem for some, but we are far enough away that it doesn't bother us.

Arrival - Fairly easy arrival but, the parking to check in left something to be desired.

Tips - Arrive early and choose your site wisely.

Favorites - Nothing really jumps out as being favorite-worthy. Your basic RV campground.

Negatives - Originally booked a FHU. Unfortunately, due to two trucks being parked in front of our site (no parking placards), we were unable to negotiate ourselves into our booked site and had to be relocated to a PHU. The staff tried to accommodate but, there were no more FHU sites to be had and they couldn't find the owners of the trucks.

This is a great location if you have something going on at LakePoint. Gated entry. Super nice, responsive employees. Our assigned site had not been vacated, so we were put into another suitable site. It was very low in the front, requiring our front wheels to be way off the ground, but we were able to manage. Good shade in the park, and some sites are right on the lake. Clean bathhouse. The only downside was the nearby busy railroad track, but it didn't bother us.

I'm surprised by the positive reviews of this park. First, I don't think this park really qualifies as a "resort." Yes, the roads throughout are paved, but they're narrow and extremely bumpy due to the tree roots growing up underneath them. Yes, the sites are also paved, but they're EXTREMELY unlevel. Only some of the sites are full hookup. The pool was closed during our two-week visit, but we looked at it - it's small and unimpressive. The "beach" looked like it had been part of a resort 50 years ago and had been left to deteriorate since then.
If you have a larger rig, the road from I-75 to the park can be quite scary. It's winding and narrow with no shoulder. There's also a railroad crossing with deep grooves in the pavement, indicating that other RVs/trailers have bottomed out there.
The laundry room consists of four washers and four dryers, one of which was broken during our entire stay.
Upon arrival, a staff member drew on a park map to show us how to get to our site. She sent us the wrong way to be able back into our site, and we had to drive around the park in order to approach from the right direction. Fortunately, our site was across from the parking for the bathhouse, otherwise we would have had a lot more difficulty backing into the site from the narrow road.
Our biggest issue with this park is the trains. The tracks and a crossing are right next to the park, and trains come by frequently both day and night. They're so close, they sound like they're going to come right through your RV. The train horns blare long and loud, and the rumbling lasts a long time. We were woken up 3-4 times a night. It made for a miserable two weeks.
