Confirmed by 1 users | Last reported on June 16, 2021This was the first campsite my boyfriend and I ever stayed. We are first time campers and I was especially nervous since I am not an outdoorsy person. The campground’s facilities are clean and the staff are very friendly. We had our own little plot of land and they had staff members drive around the park at night which made me feel safe. It was a great experience for a newbie and I would absolutely return. We were out of state so it cost us $25 to stay but the in state rate is $20. There was a state fair going on nearby so it was rather loud overnight but that’s not the site’s fault since they have quiet hours from 11pm to 6am.

I have stayed at many NY State campgrounds and mostly all have been exceptional. This one is not. Sites are very tight, it was not clean, they seemed to have piled all the old broken tables into an empty site and it looks pretty bad, the fill up station is not very convenient, just a loose hose lying across the road. Unfriendly, surly people working there. And unfortunately they were ok with obnoxious huge political banners displayed on quite a few campsites. Never again.
