Welcome to Cardwell Store & RV Park located in Cardwell, MT. We are a great park for an overnight stop! No "amenities" other than showers and laundry. All gravel. Wildlife may wander through in the mornings. A little noise from the freeway, but not all that bad! You'll definitely remember your fantastic stay here!

This was an amazing campground it was super clean. There was a store, gas, candy shop, ice cream, and a coffee barista. The shower was amazing, the laundry was a blessing. They even had wifi!!! The only warning I would give is the mosquitoes are mean. Haha can't wait to come back on my next trip.

We stopped here as we needed laundry services and the park didn’t have any. Spots were nice and level. Laundry was adequate. WiFi was great. Definitely not crowded and we did have some shade trees. The biggest downside was the proximity to the highway, which was busy and didn’t stop all night.

Office staff was nice and we told them the price was a bit higher than we expected.

I would not have paid this if we would have known ahead of time that this is basically a parking lot with electric/water hookups, no sewer. I'm so tired of campgrounds taking advantage of RV'ers. This is not a resort. This is not a hotel. There are NO amenities. This place was nearly empty. They charge for extra vehicles. $52/night for this parking lot full of mosquitos? They even have it in their paperwork... no refunds due to mosquitos!
I do NOT recommend this place. It's a joke. I've stayed at way nicer places in popular areas for MUCH less. Rip off.
If they lower their prices to a reasonable point, I'd say it's just fine if it was $20-$25/night

This is a place you stay out of necessity not because of what it has to offer. It is located next to I-90 which is loud no matter what lot you have. We arrived at night and left in the morning after a shower. Bathrooms were adequate. Didn’t run into mosquito problem but we weren’t there very long. There was a bull moose roaming around though.

We stayed here mid May and there were only a few other campers. The bathhouse was very clean and updated, the shower stalls were large and had plenty of hot water and water pressure. They did give us a military discount as well. Its conveniently off the highway which of course means some noise from it but it was not that bad. We saw deer, rabbits, birds and pelicans.

Since when does a “roadside” RV park cost $50 for partial hookups? I say partial but all we really had was water. Soon after we connected water and power the entire RV park lost power. I would think it’s due to the entire electrical system being overloaded as they pack in the RVs with no space between sites. Voltage was the lowest I have seen on my EMS at 105v which only mean everyone is then drawing more amperage to make up for the low voltage. Never tried the WiFi and the gas is about $0.60/gallon more than the gas station in the next town. It’s only saving grace is that it is 7 miles from Lewis and Clark Cavern SP.

Arrived late in the evening. We had our emailed receipt that indicated our site. We were tired and drove in and saw the gas station and market. Made our way to our site because this definitely wasn’t the normal Rv park. We barely parked and a guy on a golf cart came up and said get off my grass. We have a small Toyota truck . I asked where do I park the sites were so very squished together I was worried someone would hit us. He said he didn’t care just get off his lawn. He grunted said he would be back and left mad. Became back and told my husband to move out truck so my husband said we would but felt he was being rude. The guy said if you feel that way leave. So we spent a total of 15 mins there and left.high priced for full hookups in a parking lot and squeezed in.

My family and I are on our way to glacier national park and this was just an in between stop. I was nervous to stay here because of the ratings but this is a very nice place. We arrived at checkin and a man in a golf cart took us right on our spot. He’s got a great sense of humor and I like that especially after a long drive with young kids. I needed a laugh. They have several full hookup sites but we booked late in the season and were only able to get water and electric which is no problem since we’re only here one night. The sites are pull though and have plenty of room. There’s a great play area for the kids. There’s an awesome general store, a gift shop and even an ice cream and coffee shop! All very clean and well maintained. Bathrooms and laundry are also great. Not to mention there’s a gas station right here so you can fill up before you hit the road again. Everyone that runs this place is very nice and you can tell they try hard. I appreciate that.

We were in transit home after 3 weeks on the road; we just wanted a level spot to park our solar teardrop: no power or water hookups needed. Well, that's what we got for $40 bucks cash: a flat spot in a field on the far edge of the storage area: no hose bib ("you can un-do the sprinkler hose from that bib over at the end of the hose"), no table, nada. I will say the bathrooms were clean; the showers recently upgraded (judging by the wear and tear (none) on the features). A regular site would have been $50 apparently; he thought we were desperate so why not ask for $40 cash when we were already off the hi way and ready to make dinner? We used the restrooms and the showers and in the morning took advantage of the dump station. No reason to camp here again unless you're going from here to there and need a place to stretch out. Freeway is close enough for noise to be bothersome....but bearable. On the bright side, where we were placed was up against a small wetland slough filled with birds in the evening and the next morning: including sandhill cranes calling from the distance.

We usually spend a night on our way to and from our own RV campground in Alaska each year, even though it is overpriced for what you get. Not anymore!!!!!
We recently stopped and when I went inside to get a spot the young man told me to see the man sitting out front in the side by side. I went outside and waited patiently as he was talking with another person. They continued chatting (what sounded like BS’ing from what I could gather) for quite some time without acknowledging me, even though they were quite aware I was standing there with a credit card in my hand and could see we pulled up in an RV. I got tired of this after 5-10 minutes and politely asked how much longer they thought they would be. The reply was… “I’m trying to run a business here”. I explained that I was just trying to see how much longer I needed to wait so I could plan my evening. He continued to be extremely rude so I walked away… he had to get the last word in and said he didn’t need to rent to us. Sure looks like he knows how to run a business!!!
