“Abandoned and haunted bunker”
Just east of the Cape May Point Light House in Cape May Point State Park, this bunker was built by the US Army Corps of Engineers during the beginning of World War 2. It housed heavy artillery and was manned by a rotating detail of naval gun crews, who spent hours on end scanning the horizon for enemy surface ships and submarines. The bunker is now abandoned and supposedly haunted by the ghosts of soldiers.
