Confirmed by 1 users | Last reported on August 06, 2023My wife and I needed a place near Quincy, IL to spend some time with our grand children and their father. With all of the flooding in the Quincy area, we came to Canton. We both love this campground as it is relatively close, but also found it to be a very lovely location. Although the campground is fairly new and there are not a lot of large trees, it is very well kept - lots of grass that is always mowed. It has two large shelters with picnic tables, sand volleyball courts, a very nice playground, and two large ponds. The grand kids came by and fished and swam and had a great time. The owner, Danny, is just finishing up new bath and shower rooms as of this writing. He also will be finishing up a laundry very soon. We have 50 amp service, sewer and water - all included in the price. Our site is a very level gravel parking spot that accommodated our 30' trailer, my truck and my wife's car. It has a picnic table and a fire ring. Wood is available for $10.

Great little campground! Two fishing ponds. Kids caught several big bass. Peaceful setting, friendly owner. Good playground and clean, decent, private showers.

Had a nice stay. The owner was very accommodating and helpful. The sites are all gravel so easy to get your rig leveled. Newer sewer, electrical, and water connections. We would stay again.

One of the most relaxed stays we have had. Nice playground for kids. Two very nice volley ball courts. Clean almost new bathrooms. Two nice size ponds also on site. If your looking to relax and enjoying the country, this is a place to start.

This RV Park has everything a get-back-to-nature family desires! Large grassy lots with picnic table and fire ring, volley ball course (hello sand castles), fishing ponds, and playground. This campground has a sheltered picnic pavilion, meat smoker, and plenty of outdoor seating. Wakonda State Park with boat launches, beach, walking trails is 15 mins away.
Laundry is $2/wash, $2/dry and dryer is great. One of each. Two showers/bathrooms, but that was enough to accommodate us during our stay. Clean! Kitschy! Met and talked with owner several times. This is a family-run facility!

Be careful you don’t pass it. Sign is not very visible from the road. Very peaceful and beautiful.
