Easy in and out, close to Highway Made it a great choice for a overnight stay on way to Florida. I didn't have to unhook my Jeep New Owners were very nice AND delivered a fresh baked chocolate chip cookie after I set-up Look like a nice family stay for a vacation Pretty setting. Driveway to fill propane was easy for Big rigs to pull thru. I would definitely stop here again
After battling rush hour traffic in Atlanta and finding no vacancies near the city, we were finally able to find a spot here - although it filled up soon after our 7:30 arrival. When we turned into the park past the purple VW microbus painted with peace symbols and slowed down for the resident peacock, we knew we had found a unique campground.
The setting is beautiful, with an abundance of wildlife, mature hardwoods and rolling hills. Although the campground was virtually full, it was very quiet except for the sounds of nature. You are really in the middle of the forest, but less than two miles from the Interstate. No road noise here, though.
The owners met us at check-in and showed us to our site. Very nice and accommodating people! The campground office has a well-stocked general store. They even deliver pizza to your site!
The place was a former KOA (backwards is A-OK) so there are quite a few amenities: miniature golf, pool, large playground, Kamping Kabins, community fire pit, etc. All are kept in great condition. If it had been 20 years ago and our kids were with us, they would have made us stay more than one night. Everything is there for a fun family vacation - even goats and ducks to feed!
I did not give it 5 stars because of two reasons: the sites were not level (be sure you have your leveling blocks) and the bathhouse, while clean, is in need of an update.
We had a 30 amp site with water and no sewer, with a Good Sam discount.

Too many long term campers. We had to physically move awnings, rods etc before pulling in that previous campers left. Grass was way too high! This was our last resort for night. Never again!

We stayed in Dec 2020 on site 101 which is a 50 amp water and electric only pull through on gravel. Site was level and had a picnic table. Power and water were on same side. Since we were only staying for an overnight trip to rest for the night we didn’t get sewer also but they do have plenty of site with it. We did not use laundry or bathroom facilities. We could not get WiFi to work but they say it is available. We have our own so we ended up just using ours.Crystal (campground office staff) was amazing and very kind. The campground looked nice and was perfect for overnight stay only 1.5 miles off I-75 with no noise. Our pull through site was not tight with no trees around as this seemed to be a newer part of the campground. Our site was almost long enough to keep our Ford F-350 and 44 ft toy hauler attached to it. I would definitely recommend for a short stay. Cannot really say enough for a long stay but on the map it says it has pet playground, petting zoo, pavilion, camp store and catch and release pond.

Stayed Dec. 29-30, 2020. Arrival after hours in the dark. Directions to site 45 ok. Fairly level, but too tired to level for such a short stay. 30 amp, water. No WIFI: Wireless network but nothing in the pipe. Very disappointing. Grounds seem to be in transition and expansion. We filled propane and dumped here. Overall good experience. Definitely a quiet nights sleep. Our site on the end was great because no one was next to us. I don’t recall how many bars t mobile. But 3 bars Verizon.

Overall the worst site we've ever stayed at. Granted the have a pool...but everything else was either broke or you need to get a premium (30/50 Amp + sewer hookup) site. Our site was a "pull thru", but the angle of the 1 way street + the ditch on the other side + the badly placed metal grill = not an actual pull thru site. Upon arrival last night we could tell there was no way we were gonna be able to pull out last night. When trying to unhitch we couldn't get level due to the steep downward grade of the site. So we added 6 stackers and a 2x4 to be able to get level front to back...but then our stabilizers couldn't reach even when fully extended. So there was some fine adjustments done. But we slept and had AC and water for showers this morning.
The pet play area is just sad. Hardly any grass, the door latch is broke and the poop bag container was broke and laying on the ground.
If all you want is a 1 night stay with water, electricity, and quiet...that's exactly what you'll get.

The campground (CG) was easy to find and check in was a breeze. We then proceeded to pull through site 62 with FHUs for a planned two night’s stay. The couple running the CG are first class and very nice, plus they delivered fresh baked chocolate chip cookies that evening. Our campsite was okay, with a bit of a slope where the our steps came down. The pull throughs are basically their overnighter sites with no picnic table nor fire pit. There was a huge group fire pit next to our site. The 60 numbered sites would be very close, but they did not put anyone in site 61 so we had good spacing between us and the rig in site 60. Due to impending winter weather, we decided to cut our stay short. When we let the owners know the next morning, they were very understanding and said they wouldn't charge us for the night, with the exception of a $10 fee to pay for the credit card transaction. We received our refund within hours of leaving the park. You do not see refunds very often in private campgrounds for leaving early, etc. The next time we stay, we’ll request one of the deluxe sites towards the front of the CG. Overall we had a great experience and would definitely stay here again.
